Active ingredients
The silver is an antimicrobial natural agent that helps to get rid of various pathogens. It eliminates all traces of bacterias and fungus from the underarms, preventing the odor appearance.

The silver used in our Anti-odor Unifying Serum deodorant is produced by a physical technical process that is harmless to the skin. So, it is not altered by any chemicals that could damage its structure. The diameter of its particle is greater than 10 μm, thus they aren’t nanoparticle. Its three-dimensional structure gives it a high porosity, which is useful to optimize its antimicrobial efficacy on microorganisms.
Thanks to this particular structure, silver particles act locally and remain on the skin surface for several days to prevent the bacterial growth.

Zinc Oxide is used in cosmetics for its antimicrobial effect. It prevents the growth of bacteria responsible for the strong odor of perspiration. This natural active ingredient deeply moisturizes the skin, without leaving a greasy finish that can be unpleasant, stain your clothes or leaves marks. Soybean oil is rich in Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radicals caused by lipid peroxidation.
This active ingredient offers an ideal unifying action to reduce pigmentation spots under the arms. It is composed of 3 oils acting in synergy for an even skin tone:
- Candeia oil, approved as a whitening agent. It has numerous properties : antibacterial, repairing, unifying, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory. Candeia oil inhibits α-MSH-induced melanin formation thanks to the alpha-bisabolol contained in its oil, and reduces pigmentation spots.
- Safflower oil is recognized as a unifying active ingredient. It comes from the seed of the Carthamus Tinctorious
- Vitamin E, or tocopherol, is an effective antioxidant. It protects cells from the free radicals that cause oxidation, leading to pigmentation and brown spots. It prevents the appearance of new pigmentation spots and optimizes the action of the previous two oils. Vitamin E is found in various natural plant oils and has soothing and protective properties.
The use of this complex in cosmetic products reduces the amount of melanin in the area where the product has been applied. To achieve this, the active ingredient focuses on the melanin-forming reaction: melanogenesis. Where does the smell of perspiration come from?
Perspiration is a natural phenomenon that enables the body to regulate its temperature.
Underarm sweat is secreted by the apocrine sweat glands and is mainly composed of water and electrolytes. On its own, it has no odor. However, the bacteria that make up the skin’s flora and thrive in this area use this sweat in their metabolism to secrete butyric acid, which in turn smells bad.
These bacteria feed on the sweat and, when they metabolize it, give off a strong odor that varies from person to person (vinegar, onion…).
Hypersweating occurs when perspiration is excessive. It can be caused by a skin condition such as mycosis or warts.
How can I prevent perspiration odors?
To avoid perspiration odors, the solution is not to directly prevent sweating, which is unhealthy. Forget anti-perspirant deodorant and deodorant-remover.
Instead, focus on the source of odors: bacteria. Thanks to skincare products with antimicrobial active ingredients, it’s possible to inhibit these bacteria without disrupting the way perspiration works, so you can smell good even when you’re sweating.
Deodorant: ingredients to avoid
For the formulation of this deodorant, Floxia drew up a blacklist (a list of ingredients we didn’t want to find in this formula) of ingredients found in conventional deodorants. The ingredients to avoid when choosing a deodorant are:
– Aluminum, which prevents perspiration by tightening the skin’s pores. It is incorporated into deodorants in the form of aluminum salts for their antiperspirant effect, which reduces the flow of perspiration. However, this ingredient can have a number of undesirable effects, particularly over the long term. These include skin irritation and redness, and are suspected of promoting the development of neurodegenerative diseases and breast cancer. According to the various studies carried out, it is difficult to form a definitive opinion on the toxicity of aluminum salts in deodorants. So, as a precaution, it is not included in the Anti-Odor Unifying Serum.
– Alcohol is added to deodorants for its antiseptic effect. Alcohol can have inflammatory effects on the skin, causing irritation, redness, tightness and tingling. It can dry out and sensitize underarms, especially with daily use.
– Nanoparticles generally improve the product by refining its texture. However, because they are so fine, nanoparticles can penetrate the skin barrier. This is why the silver particles in our deodorant are not in nanoparticle form.
– Microplastics are used in deodorants to add softness and fluidity to textures. These microplastics generally end up in the oceans. Because of their small diameter, they escape water treatment and can be consumed by marine species as they float and blend with the sand. They are therefore a polluting ingredient to be avoided when purchasing a deodorant.
As a result, the formula used in Anti-Odor Unifying Serum is designed to respect both the body and the environment. This new technology makes it possible to maintain the effectiveness of conventional deodorants on perspiration odors by circumventing their harmful effects.
