Efficacy & Results

Clinical tests:

Moisturizing: Formulations containing 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5 % freeze-dried Aloe Vera extract were applied to the forearms of 20 women, using a single application and one application for 2 weeks. In single applications, only formulations with 0.25 and 0.5 % increased the water content of the stratum corneum. After 2 weeks of application, the 0.1 % and 0.5 formulations increased the water content. The transepidermal water loss (TEWL) has not been modified. It is found that Aloe Vera is effective in moisturizing the skin and the effectiveness is attributed to a humectant mechanism (Dal’Belo et al 2006).

Helps against psoriasis: 60 patients with chronic mild to moderate psoriasis were examined. The cure rate in the “aloe vera” group was 83% and only 7% in the placebo group.
